Hippo Introduces Householders Affiliation Product – Enterprise Insurance

Hippo Enterprises Inc. announced Friday that its business unit's first offering is a product from the homeowners association.

Cover includes industrial property, fiduciary duty, inland shipping, data breach, general liability, combined directors and officers liability and employment practices, liability and third party vehicle liability with property damage coverage and available deductibles for the underlying coverage.

Hippo said it will also provide coverage for "items that private lines and traditional commercial lines don't typically include, such as pools, landscaping, private roads, retaining walls, and elevator collisions."

Coverage is now available in Arizona and will expand to Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, and Utah later this year, Hippo said in his statement, adding that additional commercial programs, including condominiums and single-family homes, are also beginning will roll out later this year.

Rick McCathron, President of Hippo, said in the statement that the insurer wants to "modernize the commercial insurance experience".

Hippo announced in March that it would go public through a $ 5 billion merger with special purpose vehicle Reinvent Technology Partners Z LLC.
