Zurich North America adjustments management – Enterprise Insurance

Zurich North America announced Friday that Jason Meador, currently Head of Captives, has been appointed head of the Rural Community Insurance Services crop insurance business, among other leadership changes.

Mr. Meador will succeed Mike Day, who is retiring, and will be responsible for the leadership and strategic planning of RCIS, Zurich North America said in a statement.

Mr. Meador, who is based in Schaumburg, Illinois, will report to Kristof Terryn, CEO of Zurich North America. Mr. Day will stay until March 31st to help with Mr. Meador's transition.

Dawn Hiestand, now operations manager of Zurich North America's direct market business for auto dealers, has been appointed to replace Mr Meador as head of captives, the statement said. Ms. Hiestand, who is based in Schaumburg, will report to Paul Horgan, head of US national accounts.

Ms. Hiestand was honored as a "Woman to Watch" award winner in 2021.

Alban Laloum, currently Head of Customers, Sales, Marketing and Regional Management for Zurich Canada, has been appointed Chief Customer Officer for Zurich North America, a new role. He will be based in Schaumburg.

Effective February 1, Mr. Laloum will be responsible for the strategic direction of the expanded account office, which will now include sales in addition to marketing and customer experience functions, reporting to Mr. Terryn.

Also Kelly Kinzer, The site manager based in Schaumburg has been the official site manager since January 1, having worked on an interim basis since November after Karen Reutter left the company.

Ms. Kinzer, who was appointed to the newly created position of Director of Engineering, Casualty Insurance in August, was a 2014 winner of the Business Insurance 40 under 40 Broker Award.
